3 Vital Vitamins For Anti Aging
There are a total of 13 vitamins that are found in the human body. All of these vitamins are absolutely vital for a hale and healthy life. There are 3 major vitamins which are crucial in helping us fight aging and its symptoms. These vitamins are Vitamin E, C and K.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a quintessential armor in our fight against aging. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants and has the ability to reduce or even prevent the plaque buildup in our arteries thus cutting down the risk of heart attack or stroke effectively. Vitamin E also helps us fight cancer. Studies reveal that when a normal human being reaches 50, about 30% of the protein present in his cells would have damaged by free radicals.
If a molecule loses one of its electrons then it is called as a free radical. There are a variety of chemical reactions that happens in our body and it is because of these numerous chemical reactions, that some of the molecules lose their electrons. The antioxidants found in vitamin E help in clubbing these free radicals together and thereby neutralizing them.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is present in abundance in all citrus fruits. If we have the habit of having a glass of orange juice at breakfast every morning, then we are getting anti-aging dosages every morning in plenty. We need to consume a lot of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C every day as Vitamin C helps control blood pressure, increases HDL which is one form of good cholesterol, reduces cancer risk and increases the white blood cell count thereby making our immune systems healthier and stronger.
Vitamin K
Hardening of the arteries can lead to heart attack. Protein production in our body increases multifold by the presence of adequate amounts of vitamin K. This in turn will help in preventing the hardening of the arteries. Moreover, adequate amounts of vitamin K in our bodies help us fight osteoporosis in a much better fashion because of the fact that Vitamin K helps increase the bone density. Both the hardening of the arteries and osteoporosis are very much prevalent in the older adult population and hence should not be taken lightly at all. However, people who are currently under a form of blood thinning medication should consult their doctors before they take Vitamin K.
The above three vitamins in vitamin E, C and K cannot restore your youthful self once again by themselves. However, they play a very important and vital role in restoring your youth back to you.
