Anti Aging Secrets From… A Fruit Fly?!
We are going to start a new segment on our site called “Anti Aging News You Probably Missed” , and it will feature all sorts of stories and cool news that may not have made it to the mainstream. It’s all in an effort to deliver more unique content to you each and every day.
Back in January 2009 Brown University found something interesting in a fruit fly – a cellular mechanism that could help with anti-aging. Those responsible were Stephen Helfand and Nicola Neretti, professor and ass. professor respectively at Brown U. He coined it the “I’m not dead yet” gene.
Discoveries like this don’t always make the news because these guys truly do it out of passion and it’s their job. They are not PR specialists, etc, they are scientific geniuses and great teachers.
